when i was young, i used to be very naughty. life then was like a glaball ,shining with bright colours. i had once gone down to the river bank, catching a great many worms and was afterwards punished by mum. i had ever cut the pillow towel into pieces in order to make clothes for my dolls. similarly, i was then blamed seriously. once i even put the hot iron on the floor which immediately burnt a big hole on the carpet. although i had done so many annoying things, my childhood seemed to be rather colourful. however, i had never had a clear definition about myself. but then something happened. it had made a great difference to my life and made who i am now.
i had always been afraid of having the intravenous drop in hospital. the first time i was taken to have the drop, i cried for almost half an hour and finally gave off at father's severe scolding. watching the cold needle stabbing into my skin, i cried even more loudly. at that time, i never dared to take a glance at my hand and always needed my mother to stay with me at my side. even if mum had told me many times," honey, there’s nothing to be scared of. just close your eyes and sleep." i would still keep my eyes wide open, watching the liquid flow through the bottle and never slept.
nevertheless, things just happened in a casual way. when i caught a high fever again when young, mum had to send for the doctor home to treat me. i was so sick that i became quite drowsy and then slept. when i suddenly woke up in the afternoon, i found the liquid in the bottle had already flown over ,while mum and dad were not around. i yelled, but finally found it was of no use. so i jumped out of the bed and pulled up the tubule. in the nature of things, the blood came out and dropped along the way i went downstairs. things became different at the time i went down alone. i discovered that i could be independent. i was much stronger than i had thought. looking back on the girl who cried all day, i came to understand suddenly that the strong part of the inner myself had been existing all the time. seeing the anxious mum, i revealed a big smile to her. i could see that mum was trying to hold her tears back and scrubbed my blood on the hand. she didn't know that her little girl had stealthily grown up.

We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.
A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wild flower hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour. Several days ago I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. I’d like to share it with all of you. Let’s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our er and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours? 大家下午好!首先我要感谢各位家长的到来。您的到来是对我们的教学工作的支持，也是对孩子学习的重视。孩子的教育需要家庭和学校相互的配合和支持，作为七年级一班的英语老师，我特别希望能都得到大家的支持，希望您能和我一起帮助孩子学习英语。
今天我的发言有三个方面。首先，我想和大家一起谈谈学习英语的重要性。作为一名家长我们应该知道英语关系每一个学生的未来的成绩与继续学习的发展。因为初中考高中，高中考大学，大学后考研读博，其中必考的科目便是英语，如果要出国留学，考toefl、考gre、考ielts，这一切都是英语。因此，英语几乎伴随每一个学生的一生。进入初中后，英语的地位发生了重大的变化，由小学时侯的副课变得和语文数学一样重要，在中考和高考中，英语和语文数学一样都是120和150分的总分。对于孩子来讲，七年级是一个很好的重新建立信心，学好英语的机会，我们是从最基本的abc开始学的，即使以前没有任何基础，从现在开始认真学也是可以把英语学好的。很多孩子在小学都没有重视英语，家长也没有过多关注，我希望我们家长在了解了英语的重要性后能和孩子一起重视英语。
你们思想上重视了，无形中也给孩子以熏陶，重视与不重视肯定是完全不同的，在英语课堂上，大部分学生都能很活跃的回答老师提出的问题，积极跟着老师拼读单词，朗读课文。其实这也制造了一种假象，学生认为自己常常被老师提问，认为自己能够回答老师的问题，于是认为自己的英语学得很不错，自我感觉特别好。于是下课后在英语上花的时间就少了。其实要学好英语，课上占40%，其余的60%还需要学生在课后不断的巩固，加深记忆。在课上老师更多的是教授新知识，当然课上也会有少量的时间巩固新学的知识。但是这些时间是公共的时间，而不是每个学生私有的时间，所以不可能照顾到每个学生，不可能让所有学生都达到相同的程度。况且每个学生对新知识得接受能力都是不同的，有的可能当堂就已经有很深的印象，很难忘记，但这肯定是很少的。大部分学生都只能是初步接触了新知识，要真正接受新知识还要学生在课后多下功夫，不然肯定会和别的同学拉下差距。
第二，我想讲讲英语的学习方法。英语毕竟不是我们自己的语言，大多数学生除了英语课其余时间根本就不会想到要说英语，所以，在课后一定要主动抽时间为自己补习英语。学好英语，不外乎就是在听，说，读，写这些方面下功夫。
首先说一下听，不少学生都有和书相配套的磁带，复读机，学习机，可是请各位家长检查一下自己的子女的英语磁带，有多少学生的磁带还是和刚发的时候一样的，根本就没有听过。光靠上课听一点点的磁带，学生的听力根本就不能有什么发展。不会听就不能说，而说白了，学了英语就是要说，听录音机跟读，目的应该是两种，一种同学是上课没有完全消化，听录音是补充学习的过程，另外一种是提高自己的听力和口语表达能力，要学生尽力地去模仿录音机里的发音，从而使自己的听力和口语都提高一个层次。
接下来是说，英语是一门语言，学了就是要说，要和别人交流。我们学的英语不应该是哑巴英语，要让每个学生学会勇敢地说出来。在课上我会用各种方法来刺激学生，激发他们说英语的积极性，大多数学生也确实做得很好。放学回家也要说。在学校，我鼓励学生把所学的英语对话运用到生活中去，这样有更真实的情景，更能让学生有发挥的余地。在家里，希望家长也能鼓励学生说英语，也许你会说你自己也听不懂，请不要这样想，其实学生需要是你的鼓励，你听了他们说的只要简单表扬一句，他们就会很满足了。有时候你们也可以不懂装懂，或者还可以让学生反过来教你，他们会觉得很自豪，因为自己所学派上了用场。
接下来是读。有句话：“读书破万卷，下笔如有神。”学英语也是这样，很多家长也明白，学英语要培养语感，也就是语言的感觉，如果有很好的语感，那么不管是说话，做题目，还是写文章，都很轻松，很简单了。那么语感怎么来呢?就是靠读出来的。一定要让学生养成每天读英语的习惯，这是学英语的最基本的学习习惯了。每天早上一定要读20分钟左右的英语，哪怕有时候时间来不及了，即使是迟到也要读，并且每天都坚持，绝不因任何原因间断。无论什么事情都贵在坚持嘛。如果你的子女还没有养成这样的学习习惯，请你一定要督促他，刚开始也许会比较难，时间久了，就会习惯成自然。就像早上起来要刷牙洗脸一样，要让他们把读英语当作每天必做的一件事。
最后是写。主要就是单词短语的默写/听写，这是学英语的必经之路。单词往往背过就容易会忘记，所以要不断的背默写，不断的翻新。背单词的时候要边拼边写，嘴巴和手都要动起来，嘴上十遍不如手上一遍。家长在这里要作好检查督促的工作，不要用不懂英语来帮助你的孩子学会偷懒，你可以报中文，让你的孩子默写，然后对照书本批改订正，每天坚持的话，你一定会有意想不到的效果。还有句型，学生应该在课上领会句型的意思和运用方法。课后还需要通过多读课文，多练习才能巩固所学的句型。所以请各位家长不光要注重孩子背单词短语的情况，还要让他重视句子的重要性。
第三，我想说说我们班英语学习的状况。初一阶段的教学主要是要培养学生学习英语的兴趣，养成良好的学习英语的习惯。我的课堂也是围绕听、说、读、写几个方面对所学知识进行操练和运用。通过这一个月教学，我发现我们班大部分学生都自尊心强，上进心强，都能很用心认真的学习英语，这使我对他们充满信心。但是也发现了以下问题：
1.学习态度不够端正。上课听讲不专心，爱开小差;讲了的作业交上来还是错误的;
2.不能按时完成最基本的学习任务。单词，词组和课文不会背不会写不会默，达不到要求也不努力去完成。还有拖欠作业的情况。很多男生自律性较差，很懒惰，今天拖明天明天拖后天。
3.学习习惯差。没有做到每天记单词，或者记单词不动笔，上课记笔记要点名提醒，听力不做预测，写完作文从来不检查，英语课文和笔记课后从来不读不看不记。从来不做阅读，导致考试速度慢，效果差。
针对以上问题，我也研究了一些方法和策略，需要各位家长的配合和支持。
1、督促学生在家听英语磁带，最好能每天坚持听5——10分钟，这将对孩子的学习有很大帮助。
2、争取消化当天所学的单词，不要积压任务。每天坚持检查10个单词，一本书的单词也只要一个月就记完了。我每天都会组织一次听写，错误比较多的同学会及时让他们改正。请家长要检查听写本。
3、请家长督促孩子在家里完成家庭作业，以免他们来学校在匆忙之中互相抄袭。每天回家要求记本单元的单词，有时会默写2a部分课文。这也是为了给学生一点点压力，让他们知道父母会经常检查他们的作业本，一定要认真写才行。
4、每天要学会预习、复习。如果你的孩子英语基础不是很好，可以督促他们先在家查字典。
总之，我和各位家长有着共同的心愿，都想尽自己最大的努力去培养这些孩子，他们个个都聪明、可爱，只是有些孩子的潜能还没有得到充分的发掘。七年级我的目标是不让一个学生掉队。今后，我也希望和各位家长保持联系，如果孩子遇到学习问题我们及时沟通。
